NSA can easily get access to the important and official data of the well-known organizations such as IAEA, World bank, IMF and European Union. The certification to NSA for conducting the surveillance activity was given in 2010 by Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. According to the information revealed by the NSA contractor, Edward Snowden, in the ‘The Washington’ and ‘The Guardian’, NSA can intercept the flow of data in as many as 193 countries.
The Dy. legal director at the American Civil Liberties Union, Jameel Jaffer, shared that the reports reveal about the budding scope of the surveillance activities of the government as well as the increasingly moderate role of the courts in addressing these activities.
