Adobe confirmed that they have no news of any attacks against the threat. However the company released an official update, i.e. the Photoshop 13.0.1. This patch consists 75 bug fixes, out of which 31 are for problems that cause crashes. Of the remaining, 18 are related to 3D features and 15 are meant to fix drawing and graphics features.
The official update can be downloaded and installed by launching the ''update'' tool within the Photoshop help menu. Both Windows and Mac OS X are affected due to the threat, and downloading the recent patch will help users to fix the issue.
The vulnerability was discovered by Secunia research company. As per the firm, the problem is caused by a boundary error in the Standard MultiPlugin.8BF module while processing PNG image files.
